This chilli tofu is one of our favourite Chinese takeaway dishes. It’s spicy, full of umami flavour, sticky, gooey and incredibly moreish. Often when you buy this kind of dish it’s filled with MSG, but ours is much healthier, with a base of orange juice and sweet chilli sauce adding the main sweet tang. Service with rice and top with spring onions for the ultimate dish!
We’ve had loads of people say they aren’t usually fans of tofu but loved this crispy, spicy tofu. If you’re one of those people, give this tofu a try, you might be surprised!
You can serve this with rice, noodles or as part of a salad. Options are endless with this chilli tofu! Would be great as a meal prep option as well, it’s delicious hot or cold.
